SALT LAKE — The Governor’s Office of Economic Development and the Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative are now accepting nominations for the 31st annual Governor’s Medal for Science and Technology Awards.
The program recognizes those who have provided distinguished service or made significant achievements that have benefited the state in science and technology.
Nominations can be made in one of four categories — K-12 education, academics/research, government (an individual or agency) or industry (an individual or company).Comment on this story
Nominees must have demonstrated important contributions in the fields of science; STEM education; engineering technology; or technology management.
Previous award recipients and current members of the medals review committee are not eligible for nomination. A one-page nomination form is available for download online at GovernorsMedals.ustar.org.
