SALT LAKE CITY — Administrators at Ben Lomond High School, West Jordan Middle School and Albion Middle School have been named 2018 Utah Secondary Principals of the Year by the Utah Association of Secondary School Principals

All three will be honored at an event Monday at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George.

Dixie Garrison, principal at West Jordan Middle, will represent Utah in the national Secondary Principal of the Year competition, and Sandy LeCheminant, principal at Albion Middle School, will represent the state in the Assistant Principal of the Year competition.

Because of other commitments, Ben Lomond Principal Dale Wilkinson will not be able to compete for national Secondary Principal of the Year.

Garrison began her education career as an art teacher at West Jordan High School and served in administration in Mount Jordan and South Hills middle schools. She has been principal at West Jordan Middle School since 2013.

LeCheminant began her teaching career in Prescott, Wisconsin. She was the assistant principal at Eastmont Middle School before moving to Albion this school year.

Wilkinson began his teaching career at Sandridge Junior High in Roy and at Ogden High School before working as an administrator at Ogden High and at Odyssey Elementary in Ogden. He has been at Ben Lomond since 2013.
