SALT LAKE CITY — Big cat keepers at Utah’s Hogle Zoo will be holding demonstrations at 10:30 a.m. and 11:25 a.m. Saturday.

Visitors will get a chance to enjoy a free cup of hot cocoa while watching the keepers work with the tigers, leopards and snow leopards in the Asian Highlands exhibit. Activities for little ones include making a cat mask, while supplies last. Guests will also have a chance to purchase animal artwork with proceeds benefitting big cat conservation.

According to a statement from the zoo, the big cats are the most active in the winter and love showing of their thick winter coats.

During the winter, the zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $14.95 for adults; $12.95 for those 65 and older; $10.95 for children 3 to 12; children 2 and younger get in free. The zoo is located at 2600 E. Sunnyside Ave.
