Source says Romney to announce Senate bid

A source told the Deseret News on Thursday that Mitt Romney will launch his U.S. Senate campaign next week.

Romney will likely seek signatures to earn himself a spot on the primary election ballot while also attending the GOP convention in May, according to the Deseret News.

The source told the Deseret News that Romney is in the area currently "discussing policy, working through strategy and organizing a campaign."

Romney’s been long-rumored to run for Senate since current Sen. Orrin Hatch announced he would retire at the end of his term.
