WEST JORDAN — The City Council on Wednesday unanimously appointed David R. Brickey as city manager. Brickey has been serving as interim city manager since the retirement of Mark Palesh in July.
“David has done a great job in the interim capacity and the City Council has asked him to serve in this role permanently,” Mayor Jim Riding said in a statement.
Brickey joined West Jordan as the city attorney in February 2016. Before that he served as the Summit County deputy attorney and then as attorney.
Brickey earned his Juris Doctor from Willamette University and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in psychology.
