I write in response to the recent editorial, "Buckle up, hang it up," (Jan. 11). I live on the corner of 900 East and 5110 South. To turn on this corner is near death. More than half of the cars are over the yellow lines. They are on their cellphones. Is that worth someone's life?
My grandson is already crippled for life because of a distracted driver using a cellphone. I would not like to be the next one. We need to pass this law — it is a lifesaving one. Seeing drivers using cellphones does cause anxiety.
