PROVO — America’s Freedom Festival at Provo announced Wednesday that OneRepublic will headline Stadium of Fire on July 4 at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday at 9 a.m., at stadiumoffire.com and at the BYU Marriott Center ticket office in Provo.

Members of the Freedom Festival’s email list will have the option to purchase tickets on Thursday.

“We get a lot of suggestions each year on who the next Stadium of Fire headliner should be,” Paul Warner, the festival’s executive director, said in a statement. “And OneRepublic is probably the name we hear the most. We are beyond excited to finally welcome them to Provo on July 4.”

OneRepublic’s debut single — the Grammy-nominated “Apologize” — was the biggest radio airplay hit in the history of Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart. The Colorado Springs-bred band is also known for such hits as “Good Life,” “Love Runs Out,” “I Lived,” and “Counting Stars.”

In addition to OneRepublic, guests will enjoy patriotic tributes and the largest stadium fireworks show in the nation.

Stadium of Fire, now in its 38th year, will also be televised to over 1 million military men and women in more than 100 countries via the American Forces Network.

The event is presented by America’s Freedom Festival, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization supporting educational programs and events that promote freedom and democracy.
