LAYTON — Utah Department of Transportation crews will close two northbound lanes and one southbound lane on I-15 between Hill Field Road and Antelope Drive Monday night as crews pour concrete in the median.

The work should wrap up by 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The freeway will then be closed between the two roads for three consecutive nights as crews place steel beams over I-15 as part of the Layton Crossing bridge construction.

The freeway will close at 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, through 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27; 11 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, through 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28; and 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, through 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29.

The northbound on-ramps at Layton Parkway and Hill Field Road, and the southbound on-ramp at Antelope Drive will also be closed. Crews will begin closing lanes up to two hours in advance to prepare for the full closures.

During the closures, northbound traffic on I-15 will be diverted to Hill Field Road and back onto the freeway at Antelope Drive. Traffic on the Layton Parkway northbound on-ramp will be diverted to Main Street and back onto I-15 at Antelope Drive. Traffic on the Hill Field Road northbound on-ramp will be diverted to Hill Field Road and back onto I-15 at Antelope Drive.

Southbound traffic on I-15 will be diverted to Antelope Drive and back onto the freeway at Layton Parkway. Traffic on the Antelope Drive southbound on-ramp will be diverted to Main Street and back onto I-15 at Layton Parkway.
