BOUNTIFUL — The Bountiful Emergency Preparedness Council and South Davis Metro Fire are sponsoring two eight-week Community Emergency Response Team courses for residents.Comment on this story
The three-hour weekly classes, which will run concurrently, will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15 People can attend either night's class and switch from week to week. Topics covered during the courses will include disaster awareness, search and rescue, treating victims, triage, damage assessment, incident command, fire suppression, hazardous materials, terrorism awareness, medical skills and communications.
All classes, except a mock disaster on April 14, will be taught at South Davis Fire Station 81, 255 S. 100 West, Bountiful.
Cost is $40 and includes instruction, training materials, CERT book, CERT hard hat, CERT vest and more. Includes instruction, training materials, CERT book, CERT hard hat and CERT vest.
