Utahns who visit Walmart leave with personal travel care kits more than anything else.
A new report from Walmart unveiled which items Americans in each state buy more than anything else. For Utahns, travel care kits topped the list.
The company tracks all of its shoppers’ purchases on Walmart.com and its 4,700 stores.
Walmart collected each state’s top 25 best-selling items in 2017 and then identified “interesting top sellers” from each state. Multiple news sites referred to these top-sellers as “bizzare” or “surprising” items.
Some noteworthy findings:
New Yorkers buy Cheetos more than anything else, while Californians buy protein powder and people from North Carolina buy mayonnaise more than any other items.
Idaho’s top-selling item was the “My Little Pony Mini Collection.”
Flannel shirts led the way in Wyoming, while M&M’s Peanut Chocolate candy topped the list in Colorado.
Dog treats were the top seller in Nevada, while the trendy LOL Surprise! Dolls led the way in Colorado.
