MIDWAY, Wasatch County — Despite an unseasonably warm start to the winter, Ice Castles will open to the public on Friday, Dec. 29.

Tickets are now on sale at icecastles.com/midway.

The 1-acre interactive attraction will feature ice-carved tunnels, fountains, slides, frozen thrones and spiraling towers embedded with color-changing LED lights that twinkle to music at night.

The Midway attraction is one of six locations this year. The company has other locations in Dillon, Colorado; Stillwater, Minnesota; Lincoln, New Hampshire; Edmonton, Alberta; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Hours are 6-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 6-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Tickets Monday through Thursday are $9.95 for those 12 and older, and $6.95 for children 4 to 11 if purchased online. Tickets at the door are $15 for those 12 and older, and $10 for children 4 to 11.

Tickets for Fridays and Saturdays are $14.95 for those 12 and older, and $8.95 for children 4 to 11 if purchased online. Tickets at the door are $19 for those 12 and older, and $12 for children 4 to 11.

Holiday pricing will be the same as weekend pricing on Dec. 26-28, and Jan. 1, Jan. 15 and Feb. 19.
