SALT LAKE CITY — The Ski Utah App has been updated to make it more convenient for skiers to get to the slopes.

The free app, for iPhone and Android, now features a “Ride the Bus” tab that lets users find the fastest public transit route to any Utah resort. The app can be downloaded at any app store.

Starting Saturday, all Utah Transit Authority ski bus routes will be operational from Provo to Ogden, including a new fleet servicing Snowbasin and Powder Mountain.

Fare for a ski bus is $4.50 each way (remember to bring exact change, a pass or contactless credit card). The cost of any TRAX, bus or UTA FrontRunner ticket counts toward ski bus fare. (Some resorts offer season-pass holders a free bus pass.)

Also new this year, bus riders can purchase ski bus fare using the free UTA GoRide app. Participants will need to purchase two tickets to make a round. Tickets can be purchased in advance or for multiple riders. Tickets can be activated when ready to ride. Simply show the activation screen to the bus driver as proof of fare.
