TAYLORSVILLE — Police are searching for three suspects involved in a shooting in Taylorsville Sunday morning that killed a 30-year-old man.
Unified police responded to reports of a shooting inside an apartment near 742 W. Sunny River Road shortly after 10 a.m., where they found the 30-year-old man shot, in critical condition, Unified police detective Jared Richardson said.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, Richardson said.
Police are now searching for three suspects related to the shooting: two men and one woman.
Investigators are still "piecing together" the shooting, Richardson said, but through their investigation officers learned the female suspect knocked on the door of the apartment while two male suspects waited around the corner.
Once the door opened, the two male suspects forced their way inside while the female stayed outside, Richardson said.
At some point, one of the suspects shot the victim and both fled from the apartment and took off eastbound, the detective said.
At the time of the shooting, there were three other adults in the apartment, Richardson said.Comment on this story
