Gov. Gary Herbert, with help of first lady Jeanette Herbert and students from Deerfield Elementary, places a star atop a Christmas tree in the library at the Governor's Mansion in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017.

Each year, the first lady selects a theme for the decorations in the Governor's Mansion, and community volunteers and organizations are invited to decorate accordingly, donating their time, talent and supplies.
