MURRAY — A man using a walker to cross a busy street in Murray Saturday night was struck by a vehicle resulting in serious injuries, according to police.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Murray Police Sgt. Steve Sanderson said the accident occurred about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, more than an hour after sundown, and the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk so it is unlikely that the driver saw him.

Sanderson said the pedestrian is in his 60s. His name was not released.

The accident remains under investigation but the driver was not cited at the scene.
