The man was attempting to ride from east to west across Main Street about 11:15 a.m. when he rode in front of a northbound pickup truck, Logan Police Capt. Curtis Hooley said.

The truck hit the cyclist near 1475 North, Hooley said. The man was taken by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The man's name was not immediately released. Hooley said the man lives in Cache Valley.

Police are still investigating the crash, which Hooley said is "looking like just a terrible accident."
