TAYLORSVILLE — Police have arrested the 27-year-old driver of a vehicle that allegedly hit and killed a 19-year-old man Wednesday night.

The Taylorsville man, who has yet to be identified, was crossing Redwood Road in a crosswalk at 4200 South about 9 p.m. when he was hit and killed by a southbound Cadillac Escalade, said Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke.

"Our deepest condolences to his parents, other family members and friends," Taylorsville police said Thursday.

The Escalade continued down the road and was found "a short time after the crash" at 4700 S. Redwood Road, Lohrke said.

The driver of the vehicle, Roxanna Molina, 27, was also found and arrested. She was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of automobile homicide, fleeing the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.

The crash remains under investigation.
