Daniel Brown does a backflip during opening day at Brighton Ski Resort on Tuesday. Brighton was the first resort along the Wasatch Front to open for the 2017-18 season. Skiers were able to hit the slopes at Snowbird Wednesday, and Park City Mountain Resort fired up its chairlifts this morning. According to Ski Utah, Brian Head will open Friday, Alta will welcome skiers on Dec. 1, and Deer Valley will open its doors Dec. 2. As for the other resorts in the state, Nordic Valley's opening day is set for Dec. 9, Cherry Peak is set to open Dec. 18, and Eagle Point will open on Dec. 12. Beaver Mountain, Powder Mountain and Snowbasin have yet to set an opening date.
