Recent snowfall combined with extensive snowmaking have given Brighton a base averaging between 10-20 inches on three runs serviced by two lifts — Majestic and Explorer, the resort announced in a news release.

A limited-terrain ticket rate is available at $45 for ages 11 and up. Kids 10 and under ski free with paying adult. The resort will also limit the number of tickets to avoid overcrowding, the resort said.

Ticket windows open at 8:30 a.m.

Two other resorts are planning to open this week. Snowbird has set a tentative opening for Wednesday while Park City Mountain plans to start the season on Thanksgiving Day, according to the Ski Utah website.
