Annie Stewart, of Lake City, Florida, falls into the snow at Park City Resort after sledding during the first snowfall of the season in Park City on Friday. It was the first time Annie had seen snow. As of late Friday afternoon, the resort had received 2 to 4 inches of new snow. Alta reported that 6 inches of snow had fallen since Thursday afternoon, Brighton reported getting 7 inches, and Snowbird reported 12. Several of the resorts are expected to open next week. The Salt Lake Valley saw mostly rain during the day, with the National Weather Service reporting Salt Lake City received just over three-quarters of an inch of rain, which breaks the record for that date of .67 inches that was set in 1930. The forecast for Saturday and Sunday in the Salt Lake Valley calls for sunny skies with highs in the mid-40s and lows in the upper 20s. There's a 40 percent chance of precipitation Monday.
