LEHI — A semitrailer slammed into an overpass over I-15 near Main Street in Lehi on Thursday, snarling traffic for 5 miles of as a crane cleared rubble.

No injuries were reported in the crash, said Utah Department of Transportation spokesman John Gleason.

The accident happened about 1:45 p.m. at the 600 East overpass in Lehi. It forced the temporary closure of two lanes of I-15 and the bridge, Gleason said. He did not immediately know the extent of the damage.

"Everything is fine for traffic to drive over and drive under right now," he said.

Crews were expected to return to make further repairs to the bridge in coming days.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the crash. The Utah Highway Patrol was investigating and did not immediately return a call left Thursday afternoon.
