RIVERDALE, Weber County — Need some extra cash for Christmas?

America First Credit Union is letting members skip a loan payment from November through January for $25. The credit union will then donate a portion of the fee to purchase shoes for needy children from 22 schools and service organizations from Brigham City to Las Vegas.

Last year, the Skip a Payment program and monetary donations from members helped provide more than 2,000 pairs of shoes for needy children.

Money from the program will also benefit America First’s nonprofit volunteer service arm, the America First Credit Union Charitable Foundation. The foundation supports charitable organizations that provide job assistance, training, education, transportation and housing, as well as meals, clothing and medical attention, to those in need.
