MIDVALE — The administrative control board of the Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday on its 2018 budget and associated fee increases. The meeting will be held at the district’s office at 604 W. 6960 South.

The district is proposing to increase the residential base rate from $14.75 to $17 per month. It is also proposing to increase the fee for additional refuse cans from $15 to $17 per month, as well as implementing a $3 per month fee on each additional recycling can.

The district serves the cities of Cottonwood Heights, Herriman, Holladay, Millcreek, Taylorsville; portions of Murray and Sandy; the townships of Copperton, Emigration, Kearns, Magna and White City; and the unincorporated areas of Salt Lake County.
