SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority will hold three public meetings to get feedback on how it can better provide service between the University of Utah and the east bench of the Salt Lake Valley while making use of existing resources.

The meetings will be held at the following times and locations:

• Tuesday, Nov. 14, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Cottonwood Heights City Hall, 2277 E. Bengal Blvd.

• Wednesday, Nov. 15, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Holladay City Hall, 4580 S. 2300 East.

• Tuesday, Nov. 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., University of Utah Student Union Building lobby, 200 S. Central Campus Drive.

On its website, UTA says it faces several difficulties in improving service in the area, including no increase in funding; north–south congestion, especially along Foothill Drive; and low housing densities and poor street connectivity, which makes it harder to reach homes and workplaces.

Those who can’t attend any of the meetings can send comments or ideas by email at [email protected] or by calling 801-287-2916.
