Kindergarten and first-grade students sing at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Liberty Elementary School and Community Learning Center in Salt Lake City on Thursday. The school, which opened in August, replaced Lincoln Elementary, which closed its doors in June. In addition to the elementary school, the Liberty campus is home to the district's newest community learning center, which will house community programs, after-school care, mental health services, dental and vision screenings, a medical clinic and more.
