TOOELE — A Tooele woman died Wednesday after the Jeep she was driving hit the center median of state Route 36 and rolled, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Jennifer Charmley, 33, was driving north between Tooele and Erda about noon when the Jeep struck the concrete center median, and the driver overcorrected twice before the vehicle slid off the left shoulder of the road.

The Jeep rolled several times along the shoulder before coming to a stop on the road.

Charmley died at the scene from her injuries, UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said. She had been wearing a seat belt, Royce said.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
