DRAPER — A Herriman man was killed early Thursday when the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a vacant restaurant.

Stetson David Peck, 29, was traveling at a very high rate of speed along Minuteman Drive when he apparently lost control of his F-250 while going around a curve, causing the vehicle to roll and crash into the old Virg's Restaurant, 12458 S. Minuteman Dr. (100 East), said Draper Police Sgt. Chad Carpenter.

The truck partially went through the building. Peck was pronounced dead at the scene.
