The 20,000-square-foot facility will occupy 2.85 acres in the 100-acre park and include spaces for arts and entertainment, including a 300-seat theater, gallery, multipurpose rooms and concessions.

The lobby will connect to an open, west-facing plaza and sculpture garden that will be used for art exhibits and outdoor events.

Funding for the $9.2 million facility will come from several sources, including the Salt Lake County Cultural Facilities Support Program and proceeds from the sale of city-owned property, including the old library, and other unused vacant properties.

Okland Construction will serve as the construction manager/general contractor.
