SALT LAKE CITY — A Kane County man has been arrested after police say they found 12 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of cash and roughly 60 guns in his home.

Gerald Ginn, 71, of Kanab, was taken into custody for investigation of distributing a controlled substance, possessing firearms despite being a restricted person and having drug paraphernalia.

Officers with the Kanab police and the Kane County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at Ginn's home on Oct. 13, the sheriff's office said in a prepared statement.

The sheriff's office didn't specify where Ginn was being held. He has not been charged in court.

The search yielded 12 pounds of "high-grade marijuana," as well as hashish, concentrated THC oils, scales, "a large sum of U.S. currency" and about 60 firearms, according to the statement.

The arrest comes as part of a drug distribution probe that spanned six months, police said.
