High school students discuss a simulated crime scene during the FBI's Teen Academy at the agency's field office in Salt Lake City on Friday. Thirty-two students from local high schools spent the day getting a unique view into the FBI and its mission, values and investigations. Throughout the day, participants heard from FBI personnel about topics including civil rights, human trafficking, domestic terrorism and cybercrime. They also took part in demonstrations by the FBI’s evidence response and SWAT teams. Students were chosen for the academy based on community involvement, GPA and a personal essay.
