OGDEN — The Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th St., is holding a series of holiday gift-making workshops the first three Saturdays in November.

During the first workshop, which will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 4, participants will learn to make mittens. The class is limited to 12 people ages 12 and older. Preregister by Nov. 2. Cost is $18 for members and $20 for nonmembers. All supplies will be provided, but participants are asked to bring their own scissors and sewing machine, although the center will have a few machines on hand.

During the second session on Nov. 11, participants 10 and older will learn to build terrarium ornaments from 10 a.m. to noon. Space is limited to 20 participants and preregistration is required by Nov. 9. Cost is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

During the third workshop on Nov. 18, participants 8 and older will learn how to create handmade paper for holiday cards from 10 a.m. to noon. The class is limited to 20 participants, who must preregister by Nov. 16. Cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers.

Cost for all three workshops is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Workshop participants who are 16 and younger must be accompanied by a participating adult. For more information, or to preregister call 801-621-7595.
