LAYTON — City officials are asking for residents’ help in updating its general plan during a community workshop and pizza party.
The workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Layton High School, 440 Wasatch Drive.Comment on this story
According to the city, Layton’s population is expected to grow from 75,000 residents in 2017 to 105,000 in 2050, necessitating an update to the general plan, which will outline the goals and policies for the growth and development of the city.
Once completed, the City Council will adopt the blueprint for the types of housing, commercial services, parks and open space the city will need in the future.
Residents who attend the workshop are urged to bring their neighbors — as well as a smartphone or tablet.
For those who cannot attend, they can still make their voices heard by taking an online survey beginning Oct. 25 at laytonforward.org.
