LOGAN — Motorists in Logan Canyon are being warned to moo-ve to the side of the road as more than 1,400 cattle are herded to different pastures beginning Tuesday.
According to the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, the cattle will be moved along the highway in groups of 200 to 300 over a two-day period between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The drive will start at Temple Fork Road to the cattle guard below Twin Creeks, a distance of 2.5 miles.
Motorists can expect some delays and should slow down when driving through the steep curves of the canyon. Extra caution should be used in the evening and night to avoid encountering stray cattle.
