BLUFFDALE — The city’s Old West Days is set to run Monday through Aug. 12, with many of the activities taking place at the city park and rodeo arena, 14400 S. 2200 West.
The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. with a princess and superhero activity for children ages 3 to 11, and a Night Out Against Crime event for adults. That will be followed by a foam party at 7 p.m. Participants are advised to bring their own towels and goggles.
On Tuesday, a family fun rodeo will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a pickleball tournament will begin at 6 p.m. at Wardle Fields Regional Park, 14148 S. 2700 West.
Wednesday’s activities will include a challenge night for youths 12 to 18 at 7 p.m. Thursday’s activities will include a dinner and show for senior citizens at 5 p.m., a car show from 5 to 8 p.m., and an all-terrain vehicle rodeo and mud bug at 6 p.m.
A monster truck competition is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $10 per person or $50 for a family of two adults and up to four children. Those 3 and under get in free.Comment on this story
Saturday will kick off with the Bluffdale Badlands 5K, 10K and 25 Mile Cycling Ride at 6 a.m. Cost is $15 for the 5K and 10K ($20 after Aug. 11), and $15 for the bike ride ($20 after Aug. 8). That will be followed by a chalk art contests, a breakfast, a parade and an Old West festival featuring carnival games, food, entertainment and more. Cost of the breakfast is $3 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.
The evening will wrap up with a family shindig, a concert featuring country singer Drew Baldridge and fireworks beginning at 5:30 p.m.
