OGDEN — The Ogden Nature Center is hosting Wild Wednesday events and free summer activities on Saturdays during July.

Wild Wednesday events will include a special Independence Day program on July 5 featuring Des Ta Te, the center’s own bald eagle.

On July 12, visitors will learn about Utah’s bees, and on July 19 they’ll explore how various critters use their tails to bounce and balance for bait. The July 26 program will focus on predator-prey relationships.

Each event begins at 3:45 p.m. in the visitor center, and costs $3 for children, $4 for senior citizens, $5 for adults and free for members of the center.

In addition, the center is offering free admission an activities Saturdays. Activities, such as guided nature walks, live animal presentations, games and crafts, will be led by a teacher naturalist at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
