California-based Del Taco said Monday that it has completed a sponsorship partnership contract with the Utah Jazz.
The company's sponsorships with the Jazz and baseball's Salt Lake Stingers enable Del Taco to use venue signage and be involved in promotions on the playing surface.
As part of its plans to reach audiences through sports, the company's sponsorship of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks included developing cross promotions with specialty cups and premium items while advertising in the team's arena and in team publications.
The Jazz deal is one of nine sports team contracts the company has in four states, including those with the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Coyotes and college and Class AAA baseball teams.
Privately held Del Taco operates or franchises more than 390 Mexican quick-service restaurants throughout the United States. It is the second-largest Mexican restaurant chain in the country.
