A St. George man charged in a string of burglaries and arsons has waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will stand trial in district court.
Kurvin A. Gordon, 29, was arrested June 21 and charged with nine counts of burglary, a third-degree felony, and three counts of aggravated arson, a first-degree felony.
On Wednesday, Gordon appeared before 5th Circuit Judge Robert F. Owens and waived a preliminary hearing. He is scheduled to be arraigned July 11 before 5th District Judge J. Philip Eves.
Gordon is a suspect in a series of burglaries and arsons in Washington County, including the Southgate Golf Course clubhouse, an LDS Church chapel and a Green Valley guard shack and realty office.
He is being held in Washington County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
