An Ogden man was charged Monday with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a man Saturday night.

Danilo Pascual was arraigned before 2nd Circuit Judge Brent West. A preliminary hearing date was to be set Tuesday.Pascual is accused of shooting Todd Salazar, 24, in the back after the two men got into a fight on lower 33rd Street.

Lt. Steve Turner said the men had been feuding for some time before they met Saturday night. Pascual is accused of pistol-whipping Salazar, who took off running.

Salazar was hit in the back by a bullet as he ran, Turner said. The victim collapsed in a driveway at 245 33rd St.

Pascual was taken into custody and booked into the Weber County Jail, where he remains on a $10,000 bond.
