Lyle Olson, managing editor of the Idaho State Journal in Pocatello, has been chosen by his peers as president-elect of the Utah-Idaho-Spokane Associated Press Association.

Olson will assume the presidency in 1990, succeeding current president Steven Hartgen of The Times News of Twin Falls.The election occurred Saturday on the last day of UISAPA's 63rd annual conference, which was attended by 55 members of the organization.
