SALT LAKE CITY — Utah never trailed in snapping a two-game losing streak by beating Stanford 75-60 on Thursday night at the Huntsman Center.
Turning point: The Utes used a 14-2 run to turn a close game into a 36-22 edge with 2:43 to go in the first half and Utah took a 12-point lead, 40-28, into the break.
The heroes: Justin Bibbins led the Utes with 18 points, four assists and two rebounds while shooting 7 of 9 from the field with four 3-pointers. Sedrick Barefield had 17 points, four assists and two steals, while Tyler Rawson added eight points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
- Utah outshot Stanford 50 percent to 35.8 percent from the field, including a 55.2 to 30.8 percent edge in the first half.
- The Utes led the Cardinal (13-12, 7-5 Pac-12) in assists, 16 to 11, and Stanford had 11 turnovers to Utah's six.
- The Utes had a 36-24 edge in points in the paint.
