Krista Numbers, author of "Simply Supper: Simple Recipes and Tips for Making Family Dinner Happen," wants to help families cook meals and eat together.
"Simply Supper" is written for beginning home chefs to help them make great meals for their families. It includes 72 recipes along with several helpful tips. "Simply Supper" seems to have a focus on Italian and Latin family meals, but it does have some other types such as classic barbecue ribs or teriyaki chicken with ginger. It also has recipes from chicken parmesan to Italian sodas. The recipes and easy to follow, such as the Real Sopaipillas, which she shares the pronunciation and definition as a "deep-fried pastry."
This book's layout is nicely done and each recipe has a picture, which is helpful for a beginning chefs.
"Simplify Supper" is great for the busy parent who wants to make a home-cooked meal but does not have time to follow a complex recipe. This is a great book for families that are wanting to start having family dinners.

CLASSIC CHICKEN PARMESAN
Makes: 6 servings
¼ cup olive oil
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed and pounded to ½ inch thick
1 cup dried Italian bread crumbs
2 cups marinara sauce
6 slices provolone cheese
1. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Meanwhile, coat chicken breasts with bread crumbs and place into skillet. Cook about three minutes on each side, until chicken is browned. This will add a great depth of flavor to the meat and give it a crispy texture.
3. Pour 1 cup marinara onto the bottom of baking dish. Arrange chicken pieces in a single layer in baking dish and place one slice of cheese on each piece of chicken.
4. Cover with remaining sauce. Bake about 25 minutes until cheese is melted and chicken is cooked through.
