In 5A, Bountiful won its second straight state championship ahead of Brighton. South Sevier prevailed in 3A for its fifth straight state title, while Duchesne’s reign is alive and well with its 15th straight state title — this year in 2A because of realignment.

Desert Hills dethroned Dixie to take home this year’s 4A state championship.

With Duchesne jumping up to 2A because of the addition of a sixth classification this year, that opened the door for Piute to claim the 1A title in Friday’s state championship.
