SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga held on held on for a 68-60 victory over BYU, ending the Cougars' three-game winning streak at The Kennel. The No. 14 Bulldogs improved to 21-4, 11-1 in the WCC — one game behind Saint Mary's. BYU fell to 18-7, 7-5 good enough for a tie for third with Pacific.

Turning point: After missing his first five 3-pointers, Gonzaga's Zach Norvell Jr. hit his first of the game to break a 59-59 tie with 2:27 to go the game.

The hero: TJ Haws had a game-high 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting. He also had four assists a steal and a block.

3 keys:

• BYU made just three 3-pointers — all by Haws — on 20 attempts. Elijah Bryant was 0 for 8 from downtown.

• Gonzaga turned the ball over just six times, half as many as BYU had.

• Haws turned the ball over on BYU's final two possessions.
