Brigham Young Cougars players enter the field before the game against the Wisconsin Badgers at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.

BYU announced its 2018 football schedule Wednesday, with no surprises on the 12-game schedule from previous scheduling announcements.

The schedule includes three teams that finished the 2017 season ranked in the top 25, including No. 6/7 Wisconsin, No. 15/16 Washington and No. 22 Boise State. BYU will face each of these opponents on the road next season.

Only one game will not take place on a Saturday. The Cougars’ matchup with Utah State will be played Friday, Oct. 5. That is subject to change for television plans.

BYU’s schedule includes four opponents from the Pac-12, with BYU visiting Arizona, Washington and Utah, and hosting Cal. The Cougars and Utes face each other on Thanksgiving weekend, a reversal of recent years when the two rivals have played early in the season.

No game times or TV plans have been set yet.
