SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Runnin’ Utes finished off a weekend sweep of the Washington schools Sunday night at the Huntsman Center, topping the Washington State Cougars 82-69.

Turning point: With the game tied at 7 early on, Utah went on a 6-0 run and never lost the lead after that, as it held a double-digit lead for a majority of the second half.

The hero: Tyler Rawson led a balanced Ute attack with 22 points, which included making six of his seven 3-point attempts. He went 8 of 10 from the field overall.

• In all, Utah went 13 of 31 from downtown, while Washington State went just 9 of 25. Beside Rawson, Gabe Bealer, Justin Bibbins and Sedrick Barefield all made multiple 3-pointers.

• The Utes finished with 22 assists compared to 12 for the Cougars. Bibbins led the way for Utah with 12.

• Utah finished with nine steals compared to five for Washington State. The Utes committed just 10 turnovers while the Cougars had 14.
