











SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The BYU men's basketball team rolled to aan 84-50 victory over Santa Clara on Saturday night. The Cougars (15-4, 4-2 WCC) dominated the Broncos (6-12, 3-3) in rebounds (41-18), assists (26-13) and field-goal shooting (60.8-33.3)
Turning point: BYU went on an 11-0 run after 11:12 into the first half to break the game wide open.
The hero: Sophomore forward Yoeli Childs nearly had a triple double (22 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high eight assists)

• BYU shot 79 percent from the field in the first half — by far the Cougars' best shooting performance of a half this season.
• TJ Haws appeared to break out his slump, hitting 4 of 5 from the 3-point line on his way to a 14-point performance.
• BYU outrebounded Santa Clara 19-2 in the first half.
