Brigham Young Cougars guard L.J. Rose (5) brings the ball up court as BYU and Weber State play at the Marriott Center in Provo on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016.

Former BYU guard L.J. Rose and the Salt Lake City Stars have been reunited.

The Stars re-signed Rose and waived Jermaine Taylor ahead of the NBA G League Showcase, which begins today.

Rose's most recent tweet reflects an attitude of optimism.

SLC opens the showcase against the Delaware 87ers at 4 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast live on Twitch.

The 6-3, 200-pound Rose began the season with the Utah Jazz's affiliate but only played in two games before being waived on Nov. 30. He averaged 2.5 points, 2.0 assists and 4.0 minutes.

Rose also competed for the Bahamas national team in the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers earlier this season.

Taylor saw action in 19 games with the Stars, averaging 12.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Based on his social media presence, Rose seems to have maintained a positive attitude in the aftermath of being waived by the Stars. He continued to post inspirational thoughts and videos along with supporting his Stars teammates and BYU.
