Cyclists start Stage 2 of the Tour of Utah in Brigham City on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017.

The dates and host venues for the 2018 Tour of Utah cycling race were announced Wednesday, with this year’s race running Aug. 6 to Aug. 12.

The stage schedule for the event will be as follows:

— Prologue, Aug. 6, St. George

— Stage 1, Aug. 7, Cedar City

— Stage 2, Aug. 8, Payson

— Stage 3, Aug. 9, Antelope Island State Park to Layton

— Stage 4, Aug. 10, Salt Lake City

— Stage 5, Aug. 11, Canyons Village to Snowbird Resort

— Stage 6, Aug. 12, Park City

This will be the 14th running of the Tour of Utah.

“The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah will break new ground with its southernmost start amid the red rocks of St. George before traveling north to the ultimate finish line in Park City,” John Kimball, managing director of the Tour of Utah, said in a press release. “The 2018 race will captivate fans across the state, showcase the beauty of Utah and demonstrate the diversity of our communities and terrain. With an initial commitment from four WorldTour teams, we look forward to hosting a world-class peloton in Utah.”

The Tour of Utah also announced it has received early commitments to race from four WordTour teams, including third-ranked BMC Racing Team, fifth-ranked Trek-Segafredo and 10th-ranked EF Education First-Drapac of the United States, as well as seventh-ranked Mitchelton-Scott of Australia.
