It’s been 15 years since Urban Meyer was hired at Utah. Jon Wilner of the Bay Area News Group marked the anniversary in a recent article about how the coach’s successful tenure helped the Utes get into the Pac-12.

“Meyer and Utah proved a match made in a bottle of lightning,“ Wilner wrote. “In two years, Meyer won 22 games and led the Utes to the Fiesta Bowl, forever altering the perception and trajectory of the program.”

Utah athletics director Dr. Chris Hill offered his insight on the situation.
