SALT LAKE CITY — Elder Dallin H. Oaks, of the LDS Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and his wife, Sister Kristen M. Oaks, will be the keynote speakers at the 2018 RootsTech Family Discovery Day on March 3 at 1 p.m.
Family Discovery Day is a free, one-day event within RootsTech that is targeted at members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Other speakers at Family Discovery Day include LDS speakers Hank Smith and Jason Hewlett at 11 a.m., and “America’s Got Talent” finalist Evie Clair, singer Kenya Clark and Latin American artist Alex Melecio at 2:30 p.m. There are also several breakout sessions and the expo hall.
The RootsTech closing event is the performance of “My Family, Mi Herencia” featuring Luz de Las Naciones in the Conference Center.
Other speakers at RootsTech, which is Feb. 28-March 3 in the Salt Palace Convention Center, include Humans of New York creator Brandon Stanton on March 1 and Olympian Scott Hamilton on March 2.
